Ham and mozzarella calzoni
Ingredients (Serves 4):
- 1 pack of Fiorfiore pizza crust mix
- 200 ml. Fiorfiore tomato sauce
- 100 g. sliced ham
- 2 mozzarellas
- 1 egg yolk
Preparing:
- Prepare the dough following the instructions on the pack of Fiorfiore pizza crust mix and divide it into 4 balls. In the meantime, drain the mozzarella thoroughly.
- Roll out one ball of dough at a time with a rolling pin on a lightly floured pastry board. Shape them into thin, round disks.
- Pour in the centre 2 teaspoons of tomato sauce, add the diced mozzarella and half a slice of ham. Fold the dough in half over the filling and seal the rim with your fingers.
- Place the calzoni on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush their tops with egg yolk and cook them in a hot oven at 190°C for about 25 minutes: they must be golden brown.
