PROCESSED AND PRODUCED IN SARDINIA: THE GUARANTEE OF 100% ITALIAN AUTHENTICITY

  • QUALITY IS THE ART OF CONTINUITY AND EXCELLENCE IN THE WAY THINGS ARE DONE
All production stages of Fiorfiore tuna take place in Olbia, Sardinia. The choice to stay local for a business that has revived a priceless local artisan tradition. All production stages are carried out here, from cutting to packing, and following all-Italian methods of cooking, cleaning and selecting the fish. This is the only way to produce true Italian quality and give authentic meaning to the words on our label, “Lavorate in Italia”.
  • ONLY WHOLE TUNA
We use no semi-processed products but only the whole tuna, giving value to that processing experience that is handed down from generation to generation. And it is a choice that makes the difference.

  • WE CHOOSE EACH TUNA VERY CAREFULLY, LOOKING IT IN THE EYES
By examining the tuna when it is whole, we can be sure of its characteristics, confirming its species, size, freshness and the appearance of the flesh, guaranteeing high and consistent quality standards.
  • PRECISION IS EVERYTHING
Artful selection of the parts is the heart of Fiorfiore quality. It is during the selection, when the parts are earmarked for different processes, that the handed-down experience emerges, the knowledge that really makes the difference, to the product that arrives on your table. The most advanced technologies are combined with artisan skill and the careful eye of the expert workers.
  • SUSTAINABLE FISHING PRODUCTS
We only use basic seafood ingredients that are certified Friend of the Sea.

WE RESPECT THE SEA. AND WE PROVE IT
We ensure full traceability which allows the consumer to make informed and conscious choices: only tuna from stocks thatare not overfished, in compliance with FAO guidelines. Fiorfiore tuna is NEVER fished in marine reserves or in areas destined to become reserves.

WE SUPPORT EMPLOYMENT AND THE LOCAL ECONOMY
The people make the difference: a priceless resource of artisan skill and professionalism that gives authentic and tangible value to Fiorfiore tuna.

Origin

OLBIA: SARDINIA'S NORTHERN GATEWAY

In the north east of Sardinia, the city of Olbia, one of the island's main ports, overlooks the more than 20 islets on the homonymous gulf and extends into the plain, protected by Mount Limbara.
These unspoiled places have a rare and beautiful nature. The islands on one side are uninhabited corners of paradise, and on the other, granite rocks rich in Mediterranean brush.
The city is the main point of transit in the north of Sardinia and the gateway to the Costa Smeralda. Modern and ancient at the same time, it was already inhabited in the Neolithic period and, in tandem with the growth of the nuragic civilization throughout the island, more and more nuragic settlements were established, including the Riu Mulinu nuraghe in Cabu Abbas. An ancient history that has seen the influence of the Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans, who contributed to the birth and growth of this wonderful city.
Olbia is one of the closest points to the Peninsula and the main point of connection with the Italian continent.
