Ingredients:
  • 1 lb fresh mozzarella, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 3–4 ripe tomatoes, preferably heirloom or vine-ripened, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • ¼ cup Fiorfiore Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2–3 tbsp Fiorfiore Balsamic Glaze
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  1. Slice the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes into even, uniform rounds to create a visually appealing presentation.
  2. Wash and dry the fresh basil leaves. Set aside.
  3. On a large serving plate or platter, arrange the slices of mozzarella and tomato in an alternating pattern (e.g., mozzarella, tomato, mozzarella, tomato) to form a neat circular or linear layout.
  4. Tuck a fresh basil leaf between each layer of mozzarella and tomato for both flavor and decoration.
  5. Drizzle Fiorfiore Extra Virgin Olive Oil evenly over the entire salad, ensuring each slice gets a light coating.
  6. Drizzle Fiorfiore Balsamic Glaze in a zig-zag or circular pattern over the top of the salad for a tangy, sweet touch.
  7. Sprinkle the salad lightly with salt and freshly cracked black pepper, if desired, to enhance the flavors of the tomatoes and mozzarella.
  8. For a finishing touch, scatter a few additional whole basil leaves around the plate.
  9. Serve immediately as a light appetizer, side dish, or part of an antipasti spread.
