Caprese Salad with Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb fresh mozzarella, sliced into ¼-inch rounds
  • 3–4 ripe tomatoes (preferably heirloom or vine-ripened), sliced into ¼-inch rounds
  • ¼ cup Fiorfiore Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2–3 tbsp Fiorfiore Balsamic Glaze
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  1. Slice the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes into uniform ¼-inch rounds for an attractive presentation.
  2. Wash and dry the basil leaves, keeping them whole for decoration and flavor.
  3. On a serving platter, alternate slices of mozzarella and tomato, arranging them in a neat circular or linear pattern.
  4. Tuck a fresh basil leaf between each layer of mozzarella and tomato for added flavor and a pop of green color.
  5. Drizzle Fiorfiore Extra Virgin Olive Oil evenly over the salad to enhance the freshness of the ingredients.
  6. Add a zig-zag or circular drizzle of Fiorfiore Balsamic Glaze for a tangy, sweet finish.
  7. Lightly sprinkle the salad with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to enhance the natural flavors.
  8. For an extra touch, scatter additional basil leaves around the plate.
