Pasta with ham and gorgonzola

Ingredients (Serves 4):
  • 320 g. di pasta
  • 150 g. gorgonzola cheese
  • 200 g. diced ham
  • 1 tbs butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper

 

Preparing:
  1. Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water. While it cooks, heat the butter in a large pan and saute the ham for a few minutes on medium heat.
  2. Remove from the stove and add the gorgonzola, cut into small cubes. Reserve a cup of the pasta water.
  3. Drain the pasta as soon as it is "al dente" (when it no longer shows a white center when cut or bitten) and toss it in the pan with the sauce over medium heat.
  4. Add some of the cooking water if needed. Fold in the pasta until the sauce has become creamy.
