Ingredients (Serves 4):
  • 1 jar of Fiorfiore Grilled Peppers in Sunflower Oil
  • 8 slices of rustic bread (such as baguette or ciabatta)
  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Crumbled feta or goat cheese
Preparing:
  1. Toast the Bread: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Alternatively, you can grill the bread slices on a grill pan.
  2. Rub with Garlic: Once the bread slices are toasted, rub the cut side of the halved garlic clove over each slice to impart a subtle garlic flavor.
  3. Assemble the Crostini: Drain the Fiorfiore Grilled Peppers from the sunflower oil and slice them into strips. Arrange the pepper strips on top of each toasted bread slice.
  4. Garnish: Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the peppers. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Optional Additions: For an extra layer of flavor, you can top each crostino with crumbled feta or goat cheese.
  6. Serve: Arrange the crostini on a serving platter and serve immediately as an appetizer or light snack.
